Justin (aka "J.B.")
Guitar Professor
After playing in bands that won his high school and city talent shows (Bagley Brothers Band, Blueshound), Justin Bagley started college as a music major and played guitar in worship and jazz bands. He studied Biology at The University of Alabama (B.Sc., M.Sc.) then earned a Ph.D. in Integrative Biology from Brigham Young University and worked full-time in academia for 18 years. In 2023, Dr. Bagley moved to Montgomery, AL and transitioned to a career as an Environmental Scientist for the state, while maintaining a position as an Adjunct Professor of Biology at Auburn University at Montgomery. One constant: he played guitar all of that time. Now, J.B. is back at guitar and music performance with a fresh perspective on teaching combining what he learned during his academic career with his lifelong interest in music and 31 years of guitar playing experience. He's an inspiration for guitar and ukulele students alike and is our lead guitar teacher and the owner of the business.
